Hear the call of oystercatchers and escape into the wilds with this journey along the shore of Loch Etive by Canoe.

Located south the popular highland destination of Glen Coe, Glen Etive has a much more remote and wild feel about it. This sea lochs shores offer a range of views from small crofts to towering mountains. Accessible only by 4×4 or boat you can be sure to experience the remote beauty of the loch on this adventure.

The exact route of the trip will vary depending on tides and wind conditions.

Over 5 days we will give you the chance to practice canoeing and learn some basic strokes before we venture out on our expedition.


Accommodation isn’t included in the cost of this course. Expect to bring your own tent and sleeping equipment.

Ability

intermediate (having experienced canoeing before or having a good level of fitness will make this course much more enjoyable).

Equipment

Waterproof Jacket, Waterproof Trousers, Hat, Gloves, Fleece / Jumper, Old Trainers, Rucksack (40l), Food and Drink, Map and Compass, Headtorch, Sleeping bag, Sleeping Mat, Stove, Tent, Dry bag.

Location

Loch Etive is at the end of Glen Etive in the western highlands of Scotland.

Start

9am – on the first day of the course.

Finish

5pm – we’ll aim to finish by 5pm on the final day of the course.
