Self Rescue for Climbers

From: £300.00 Price £150 per day for 1 to 2 people.

Self reliance has been a by word for British climbers since the sport began. This course aims to keep that tradition alive by giving you the skills to get out of a tight spot.

Fill out your details below and I will get in touch with you as soon as I'm able.

Description

Rescue skills are crucial to climbers looking to get onto the more adventurous cliffs. Not only do they cover the “what if’s” when things go wrong but they also allow you to deal with simple problems such as an inexperienced second climbing past a runner or a leader falling off a traverse and unable to get back to the rock.

This course will give you all the practical experience you need to become proficient with your rope-work and rescues on the crag.

Run over two days this course will cover a variety of topics.

Day 1

  • Learning set pieces
  • Tie off belay device
  • Prussiking
  • Hoists
  • Escaping the system
  • Rope based rescues

Day 2

  • Put it into practice
  • Senarios; simple to hard

At the end of the course you’ll have a range of techniques to use for situations your likely to come across and some you hopefully never will need. As an added benefit I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t leave this course having better gear placements and more faith in them.

Accommodation is not included.

Locations for the course will be discussed upon booking. Should we not be able to agree a suitable destination you’ll not be charged.

Please select the two days you’d like for your course.
