Scambling is more then just “a mountain walk up steep ground with the use of ones hands” as the Oxford Dictionary puts it. It’s about climbing to a peak or summit via an interesting and entertaining route. Classics include Crib Goch and Tryfan’s North ridge in Wales or the Aonach Eagach and Liathach in Scotland. These routes time and again get voted as some of the best scenery in the country but do you know what it takes to complete them?
