Knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic mountain guide at a great price! Olly, along with another guide, spent 5 days with us in the Cairngorms teaching us relative beginners winter navigation, avalanche awareness, ice axes arrests, etc. Exactly what we wanted and would recommend to anyone.

    :

Fantastic week. Perfect for university mountaineering clubs starting out on the winter scene.
Really knowledgeable, good balance of leading and letting the group make decisions, and a good laugh too!

As a group of 12 novices to winter skills, Ollie and his colleague were fantastic in giving us the general experience in the Cairngorms in winter.

Though there was less snow than usual, we were still able to cover all the basics, with plenty of navigation training (absolutely key), and by the end of the week felt comfortable enough to lead our own walks.

Would certainly recommend a 5-day course as it markedly improved our self-dependence and general mountain day planning. Well worth it!
